Apple will eventually open its first retail store in India later this month. Today, the company lifted the curtain a little, revealing the front of the store, which will be situated in Mumbai’s premium Jio World Drive Mall. The store’s name will be Apple BKC, after the business and residential area Bandra Kurla Complex.
The finished design is still unknown; the image simply shows where the store will be located within the mall. According to reports, it will be 22,000 square feet and will feature “flagship architecture” with large windows, identical to Apple stores in Los Angeles, New York, Beijing, Milan, and Singapore.
Apple celebrated the opening of the first store in India by releasing new wallpapers for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac on the corporate website. A special logo was also created, and the business promoted an Apple Music playlist called “Sound of Mumbai.”
