The pricing of the Pixel Fold, Google’s first foldable smartphone, is said to be “upward of $1,700” in this report, which is in line with the previously disclosed price of $1,799. In addition to a trade-in option, Google will allegedly give out a Pixel Watch to Pixel Fold purchasers as a bonus.

Google will claim that the Pixel Fold features “the most durable hinge on a foldable” based on “internal documents and images. It will also be advertised as being water-resistant, although it’s not clear what standard that entails. The inner screen unfolds to a height of 7.6″, while the outer screen is 5.8”.
According to reports, the smartphone weighs 10 ounces (283 grammes), is heavier, and has a bigger battery than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4. This will be advertised as having a 24-hour battery life or up to 72 hours in a low-power mode. The docs provide more proof that the Tensor G2 chipset powers the Pixel Fold.
The Pixel Fold is scheduled to be completely announced on May 10 at the Google I/O developer conference. According to a rumour from yesterday, it will be on sale on June 27.
