The main feature of Xiaomi’s 13 Ultra, its cameras, so let’s start there. Xiaomi refers to the Leica Vario-Summicron 1:1.8-3.0/12-120 ASPH lens as the Leica Vario-Summicron 1:4 cameras on the back, which were created in partnership with Leica and are housed under a single glass dome.

The main camera includes a 50MP 1-inch IMX989 sensor and a 23mm optically stabilised lens with a physical, two-step aperture that can be set to an aperture of f/1.9 for the shallowest depth of focus (also known as bokeh or blur) and an aperture of f/4.0 for a sharper picture. The sensor’s 4-to-1 pixel binning produces 12.5MP photos with over 3.2 million individual pixels.

The other three cameras are all equipped with the new, respectable 1/2.51-inch 50MP IMX858 sensor. They are a 12mm f/1.8 autofocusing ultrawide with 5cm macro focusing capabilities, a 5x 120mm camera with a new brighter f/3.0 lens, and a 75mm f/1.8 OIS 3.2x mid-range zoom. The 13 Ultra additionally has a 2x 46mm and 10x 240mm mode choice using in-sensor-zoom technology.

The front camera’s fixed focus 32MP f/2.0 sensor will bin pixels 4-to-1 for 8MP final images.

The invention goes beyond the tangible realm. The 13 Ultra now has a variety of remarkable features thanks to Xiaomi and Leica. The Leica Vibrant and Leica Authentic camera colour science modes are available, like with previous Xiaomi cameras bearing the Leica name.

The primary camera also has a new 50MP UltraRAW mode that offers 14-bit DNG files with integrated multi-frame sharpening, noise reduction, and dynamic range correction for more fine-tuning. For Lightroom, Adobe will provide a unique camera profile.

There is a cool function called Fast Shot mode that is created just for budding street photographers. By selecting a specified focusing distance, you may reduce the amount of time spent concentrating before shooting a picture. Then, Fast Shot will take a picture in only 0.8s.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, like its predecessor, has a camera module that resembles a round lens, a metal frame, and a leather-covered rear panel (on the Black and Green versions). Specifically, Xiaomi claims that antibacterial nanotech silicon leather will achieve a 99% bacterial suppression rate. To highlight the camera module, the top section of the back panel is somewhat raised.

The 6.73-inch, 3200x1440px AMOLED screen on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has an adjustable refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. According to Xiaomi, the panel’s maximum brightness is 2600 nits.

With up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the phone features the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU. It will be available in UFS 4.0 storage sizes of 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
