When it comes to camera performance, the Samsung foldables have clearly fallen behind, but last year’s models made noticeable improvements and gave supporters hope that they might start to catch up. Now that the camera setups for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 have been revealed, there are both good and bad news.
The good news is that new camera sensors, which should improve image quality, will reportedly be included in the phones. It’s unknown whether all sensors will receive an upgrade or simply some of them, but there’s little chance that information will become available in the months before to the announcement.
The Galaxy Z Fold5 will have the same 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto cameras as the Galaxy Z Fold4, claims tipster Yogesh Brar. The dual 12MP camera with wide and ultrawide lenses on the Z Flip5 will remain as well. That is the part that is least encouraging.
