Since the release of their fifth generation nearly a year ago, Sony’s WH-1000X series headphones have solidified their position as one of the finest all-around noise-canceling headphones. Prior to yesterday, the XM5s were only available in black and silver. However, Sony also unveiled the WF-C700N, its newest TWS earbuds, along with a new Midnight Blue variant.

We’ve got the brand-new Midnight Blue XM5s here today for a quick peek. The new hue is an extremely deep tone of blue that is comparable to indigo blue. The Sony insignia and the carrying case’s zippers have copper embellishments, and they have the same fingerprint-prone matte texture as the other XM5 models.

The retail set contains the headphones, their colour-coordinated carrying case, a charging USB-C cord in black, a legacy 3.5mm audio jack cable with an L-shaped connector, and the headphones themselves. Midnight Blue was used for the earcup paint to match the remainder of the headphones.
