Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition review

March 6, 2023 (2 months ago)

Last November, Realme released the Realme 10 Pro in three colour options: Dark Matter, Nebula Blue, and Hyperspace Gold. And a few weeks ago, the business revealed the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition, a limited-edition 10 Pro created in collaboration with Coca-Cola. See how it differs from the standard 10 Pro now that we have one from Realme.

The retail box for the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition is slightly taller than that of the standard variant. It switches from the black-yellow colour scheme to a black-red theme that is influenced by Coca-Cola, and it includes a cropped Coca-Cola logo that is also present on the smartphone.

While Realme is promoting the smartphone with the Deluxe Boxset, which includes the real phone box and Realmeow Coca-Cola Figure, it’s only the phone box that customers will receive upon purchase. The retail box of the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition reflects light at various angles. The big box and Realmeow Coca-Cola Figure were sent exclusively to the media and are not for sale.

Even so, the retail bundle for the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition comes with extras that aren’t present in the regular model. In the beginning, there are 29 DIY stickers with Coca-Cola themes, which might not be to everyone’s taste. However, there is also a unique SIM card needle designed after the Coca-Cola container cap, which is much cooler than the ones we typically receive with most other smartphones.

A Coca-Cola can-shaped limited number card that identifies which of the 6,000 worldwide available Coca-Cola Edition units you own is also included in the package. The number 841 is ours.

The retail box for the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition also contains the standard assortment of extras, including a 33W SuperVOOC power adapter, a charging cable, a clear protective case, and some documentation.

Let’s focus on the phone right now. The Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition has the same hardware as the regular model but sports a design that is influenced by Coca-Cola. A “Matte Imitation Coating Process” is applied to its back panel to give it the “elegant touch of brushed aluminium while staying resistant to scratches and fingerprints.” The matte finish on the back cover feels pleasant to the touch and deters fingerprint smudges, which is intended to make the phone feel like a can of Coke when held. The back of the Coca-Cola Edition also reflects light differently, just like its packaging does.

The Red & Black Collision, as Realme names it, is displayed on the back panel of the Coca-Cola Edition. 70% of the panel is crimson and 30% is black, creating an asymmetrical black design. While the cropped Coca-Cola logo is displayed in the red section, the Realme name is displayed in the black strip. Another Coca-Cola logo is engraved onto the right-side frame of the smartphone.

The limited edition 10 Pro has a nice contrast thanks, in part, to the red rings that encircle the two cameras on the back. Camera Lens Halo is what Realme names it.

The UI of the phone was given the Coca-Cola motif by Realme. With the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition, you get a lock screen with Realmeow’s Coke version that is influenced by Coca-Cola. The app icons have a bubble element because they are surrounded by a red ring.

Realme has also changed the icons for the system applications. There are 24 of them, though you might not get the whole set pre-installed based on the market. There were only 19 custom programme icons included with our unit.

It’s important to note that the “Cheers! For Real” theme, which can be located in the Themes menu, enables this. It is the usual selection, but if you prefer, you can choose another theme.

The Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition’s user interface is more complex than just its branded applications. The charging motion on the smartphone has bubbles that resemble those found in the beverage’s bottles.

New notification noises and a ringtone are also included. The Open Happiness and Cola Bubbles tones can only be used as alert tones, whereas the Cola Official Music can be used as both a ringtone and a warning sound.

Realme also gave the camera department some fizzing love by including a “80s Cola” filter in the Street Mode of the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition’s default camera app, as well as a new bottle-opening camera shutter sound dubbed “Special edition.” If you would prefer the original shutter sound instead, you can disable it by going to the Settings > Shutter sound menu in the default camera programme.

Since the GT Neo 3 150W Thor Edition is just the regular GT Neo 3 150W Nitro Blue version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that comes in a special retail package, we are glad that Realme customised the UI of the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition rather than pulling another GT Neo 3 150W Thor Love and Thunder Limited Edition (hands-on) with it.

The 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB memory options for the base Realme 10 Pro cost INR18,999 ($230/€220) and INR19,999 ($240/€230), accordingly, in India. The cost of the Coca-Cola Edition is INR20,999 ($255/€240) for a single 8GB/128GB variant. instead of the standard edition, you might want to think about purchasing the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition if you want a phone that will become a collectible.

As expected given that Realme only produced 6,000 of them for sale in the markets it serves, the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition is currently out of stock on both Flipkart and its official Indian website. However, you can still purchase it at some mainline stores in India.

Currently only available in India, the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Version has yet to be introduced elsewhere. However, since the regular Realme 10 Pro has the same hardware as the Coca-Cola Edition, you might want to read our comprehensive review of it regardless of whether you intend to purchase the limited edition or regular 10 Pro.
