Once again, it’s that time of year when Apple introduces a new iPhone hue. In contrast to the subdued green of the previous year and the purple of the year before, this year’s colour palette features a vibrant new yellow.
The glass back panel on the new edition is a strikingly bright yellow that falls somewhere between the deep yellow of the iPhone XR and the pale yellow of the iPhone 11. Unlike the pale gold of the iPhone XR, the aluminium frame is the same bright yellow gold hue as the iPhone 11 version.
The new hue will not be available on the Pro models, unlike last year. Instead, it complements the five hues already present on the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models—midnight, starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, blue, and purple.
There are no technical distinctions between this model and the others besides the new hue.
For its selection of silicone cases for all four iPhone 14 versions, Apple also unveiled four new hues. Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky, and Fuchsia are among these. They cost $49 each at store.
Pre-orders for the yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will start taking place on March 10 at 5:00 AM PDT. Orders for the new case hues can be made right now.
