DESCRIPTION:
This year, Samsung’s flagship smartphones have been released without the Exynos processor. The first thing that comes to mind while thinking about this is the fact that this is the first time I’ve heard of the term “smart phone”. And many believe Samsung made the correct decision by leaving Exynos 2300 out of the lineup.
Yet, current speculations claim that Samsung and Google have been collaborating closely to develop a semiconductor that is more potent than before. And the chip in question is the Exynos 2300, on which Samsung and Google probably collaborated. But why are we bringing up the SoC once more? But, a fresh leak that just surfaced provides us an idea as to what to anticipate from the chip.
EXYNOS 2300’S CORE SPECS WERE LEAKED
The Exynos 2300 SoC’s kernel details was recently released through a tip. The chip has the codename Quadra and a 1+4+4 core configuration, according to the information that has been disclosed. In other words, it has a Cortex-X3 super core in addition to 4 performance cores, 4 efficiency cores, and 1 efficiency core.
The Exynos 2300’s Coretex-X3 super core is its standout feature. This specific core reportedly has a maximum clock speed of 3.09GHz. And it is essentially what will enable the new processor to compete with Qualcomm’s current flagship SoC.
The performance cores, what about them? They will have Cortex-A715 processors clocked at 2.6GHz, compared to the Exynos 2300’s Cortex-A510 cores, which operate at 2.1GHz.
But, the disclosure also provides information on the chip’s other features. The Exynos 2300 will have an AMD RDNA 2 architecture that was specifically created, just like the previous generation. The chipset’s GPU will be known as the Samsung Xclipse 930.
Yet, there is a potential that Samsung will not give the new Exynos processor the 2300 designation. Instead, the Exynos 2500 model might be found in the South Korean company’s next processor. In such situation, a new NPU will be outfitted by the SoC.
