This year, the battles over mobile phones are getting more intense as Oppo enters the fray on a global scale. Motorola has played the market the longest, second only to Samsung, and it is getting set to launch a new player later this year. Razr 2023 was what we had initially anticipated it to be named, in keeping with Motorola’s prior naming scheme, but it turns out that wasn’t the case.
Today’s new rumor claims that the company’s upcoming foldable will actually go by the moniker Motorola Razr+ 2023. Why “+”? We are unable to say for sure, but we believe it may be related to the frequently released information that this device will feature the biggest exterior screen ever installed on a flip-style foldable.
Here is some (potentially) terrible news. With a 3,500 mAh battery, the Razr 2022 already lacked a noteworthy battery size, but the Razr+ 2023 is rumored to have an even worse 2,850 mAh cell. That is ridiculous in comparison to the 3,700 mAh of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the 4,300 mAh of the Oppo Find N2 Flip. In fact, it’s so terrible that we fervently hope the information is inaccurate.
Take this information with the same amount of salt as the information that it is 2,850 mAh and no more, at least for the time being. We are thinking that 2,850 mAh could be the capacity of one of the cells, housed in one of the two halves of the phone, and it will be assisted by some more in the other half.
The model number for the rumored Razr+ 2023 is XT2321, and it will enable 30W wired fast charging.
