The Redmi Note 12 series made its European premiere earlier this week, and they are now making their way into our workplace one by one. After introducing the Redmi 12 Pro, it’s time to introduce the 5G component of the Redmi Note 12 pair.
The Redmi Note 12 5G is only the second smartphone to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, and the first one we’ve had a chance to try it, so it’ll be fascinating to see how it performs. Its ability to interact with the 48MP primary and 8MP ultrawide cameras to maximise picture clarity is arguably as essential as its raw speed.
On paper, the 6.67″ 120Hz OLED screen looks very promising, and we’re curious to see how far the 5,000mAh battery can be stretched. But first, before we head to the lab, let’s do a fast unpacking.
We received the Redmi Note 12 in Forest Green, but it is also available in refreshing Ice Blue and the somewhat dull Onyx Gray. The package also includes the 33W adapter required to power the phone’s highest charging rate, a USB-C cable, and a see-through plastic case.
That’s three more helpful accessories than you’d find in a Galaxy S23 Ultra or an iPhone 14 Pro Max package, but such is life.
With the packaging out of the way, let’s give over the Redmi Note 12 to our review crew and see what they think. Keep an eye on this area!
